Currant Clearwing

Synanthedon tipuliformis (52.013)

The adult Currant Clearwing moth is on the wing between late May and July. It is generally local in distribution but where it does occur, it can be fairly common. The best places to look for this species is allotments and gardens where the larval foodplants occur.
